THE Philippines and other World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) member-states attended the Diplomatic Conference to Conclude and Adopt a Design Law Treaty (DLT), held November 11-22 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, which culminated in the signing of the DLT, which standardizes the rules on industrial design protection.
The DLT, the WIPO website says, “aims to streamline the global system for protecting industrial designs, making it easier, faster and more affordable for designers to protect their work in home markets as well as overseas.”
