FOLLOWING last week’s rollbacks, fuel prices are up this week due to continuing geopolitical tensions.
The per-liter price of gasoline rose by P1.15, diesel by P1.10 and kerosene by 80 centavos on Nov. 26, 2024.
The Department of Energy’s Oil Industry Management Bureau attributed the price push to the prospect of an escalating Ukraine war, Russia’s oil refinery plant facing closure amid heavy losses and poor production, and news of an oil production outage in Norway.
Last week, the price of gasoline dropped by 85 centavos, diesel by 75 centavos and kerosene by 90 centavos.
Since January, gasoline had a net price increase of P10.45 and diesel P9.75.
Kerosene has a total net decrease of P1.50 per liter.
