Quiboloy ordered transferred to Pasig jail — PNP

A court has ordered the transfer of detained Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) leader Pastor Apollo Quiboloy to Pasig City Jail, according to the Philippine National Police (PNP) on Wednesday.

At a press briefing, PNP spokesperson Police Brigadier General Jean Fajardo said that a Pasig court issued the order on November 22.

“Pursuant to the order issued by the RTC Pasig, today po, November 27, by 4 p.m., we expect na we will be transferring the custody of Apollo Quiboloy to Pasig City jail,” Fajardo told reporters.

The religious leader is under the custody of the PNP Custodial Center in Camp Crame in Quezon City but he is currently staying at the Philippine Heart Center amid his extended medical furlough.

Quiboloy, who calls himself as the “Son of God,” is currently facing a non-bailable qualified human trafficking charge under Section 4(a) of Republic Act No. 9208, as amended, before a Pasig court.

He is also facing charges under Section 5(b) and  Section 10(a) of Republic Act 7610 or the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation, and Discrimination Act. — RSJ, GMA Integrated News
