A vintage bomb was accidentally discovered on a road near the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 2 in Pasay City, Balitanghali reported on Thursday.
The bomb, believed to be American-made and used during World War II, was unearthed by workers working on a road widening project along the Manila International Airport Road.
The road widening operation was temporarily suspended following the discovery of the vintage bomb.
According to personnel from the Philippine National Police Explosive Ordinance Disposal Unit who proceeded to the area, the bomb could still explode.
The bomb will be brought to the PNP Explosive Ordinance Disposal Unit for analysis and proper disposal. —Sherylin Untalan/KBK, GMA Integrated News
