MANILA, Philippines — The House of Representatives’ Committee on Good Government and Public Accountability postponed its hearing this Friday.

The committee, also known as the blue ribbon panel, is looking into confidential funds used by the Office of the Vice President from 2022 to 2023 and the Department of Education when Vice President Sara Duterte was Education secretary.

Manila 3rd District Rep. Joel Chua, the committee chairman, said in a press conference on Thursday afternoon that “earlier today, we decided to postpone the committee hearing for tomorrow to pave way to the investigation of the NBI (National Bureau of Investigation).”.

The NBI issued a subpoena to Duterte to give evidence in its investigation into a matter different from the subject of the House inquiry.
