MANILA, Philippines — A taxi plowed through barriers along the northbound lane of EDSA in Quezon City yesterday morning.
The driver of a taxi with license plate UVT-526 suffered injuries after ramming concrete and plastic barriers on EDSA at around 4:55 a.m.
Reports said the crash dislodged the vehicle’s bumper and shattered its windshield and side mirror.
Personnel of the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) rushed the taxi driver to a nearby hospital for treatment.
MMDA workers took over one hour to remove the taxi at the site, which caused traffic congestion along Quezon Avenue.
