A hundred students in Biliran Province received free eye examination and free eyeglasses from the GMA Kapuso Foundation‘s Kapuso 20/20 Eye Project.
According to “24 Oras” on Wednesday, among the beneficiaries of the project are sixth grader Lyn and ninth grader Angel. Both students struggle to see properly and would resort to squinting their eyes, with their vision problems affecting their studies.
Per Dr. Christopher Robertson Go, an ophthalmologist, the patients would need glasses to help with their eyesight.
The GMA Kapuso Foundation, alongside Ideal Vision, provided the free eye checkups and eyeglasses to the students and also distributed food packs and hygiene kits.
“Maraming, maraming salamat talaga GMA Kapuso, lumakbay kayo dito sa Biliran. Malaki talagang tulong nito lalo na sa kanilang pag-aaral,” said Josephine Casa, Education Program Supervisor of SDO Biliran.
