Supporting her husband’s candidacy is the focus of actress-vlogger Alex Gonzaga.
She revealed this at the Christmas party of Society of Philippine Entertainment Editors (SPEEd) in Dec. 2, at Rampa Drag Club, Quezon City.
She was with her politician husband Mikee Morada, currently councilor of Lipa City, Batangas, running for Vice Mayor of the said city.
“This is my first time to introduce my husband to SPEEd, editors, press people. We got married during the pandemic,” said the actress/vlogger.
At present, Gonzaga is laying low from showbiz to focus on Morada. So she’s been refusing offers.
“Of course I’m thankful,” husband Morada acknowledged his wife’s decision.
“My wife and I are trying to have a baby. I don’t want to lose focus either. Family is our priority.”
“Starting a family, building a family is tough,” Gonzaga complemented.
She admitted that she has mellowed down, more behaved already… done with her antics during her younger years.
Morada added “Alex will always be Alex… But she’s more careful now.”
Gonzaga added in jest; “It’s only to him that I’ve been naughty.”
“Alex has consistently been one of the most followed and subscribed to vloggers, and still gaining more subscription,” Morada confided.
“I was there courting her when she started vlogging…
“Up to now, she edits and sits through them all by herself. Seeing her do that makes me proud of her,” Morada enthused.
Gonzaga enjoys vlogging and supporting her husband on the campaign trail. She’s better behaved now as a supportive wife of Morada.
She’s open to the possibility of getting into politics herself, butMorada prefers her to stay in showbiz as an actress.
“I’m not saying it with finality… As of the moment, I enjoy supporting Mikee in his bid,” Gonzaga reiterated.
She isn’t affected anymore by some detractors who continue to revive old issues.
“It’s part of the consequence of my being childish and immature then.
“What’s important, my husband and family remind me — ‘you know your mistakes and you’re trying to improve, trying your best not to repeat them. And we see that you’ve changed for the better.'”
“I feel I’ve matured. I can’t forever be a teener, forever a jerk,” Alex Gonzaga concluded.
