SILLIMAN University Medical Center (SUMC) has renewed its partnership with First Gen Corp. for the supply of renewable energy (RE) to support operations of the 300-bed tertiary hospital.
Under the agreement, which was finalized last December 12, SUMC will get 800 kilowatts (kW) of electricity sourced from RE sources, specifically from the Palinpinon geothermal power plant located in Valencia, Negros Oriental, which in turn is operated by First Gen subsidiary Energy Development Corporation.
