ABU DHABI — At the 2024 Technovation event in the United Arab Emirates’ capital, Philip Morris International (PMI) reaffirmed its commitment to a smoke-free future, showcasing the company’s progress and ongoing efforts to transition adult smokers to science-based alternatives.
PMI remains optimistic about meeting its ambitious 2030 smoke-free target, with over two-thirds of its revenue expected to come from smoke-free products. According to the company, they are committed to replacing every cigarette for adults who would otherwise continue smoking with smoke-free alternatives, aiming to reduce the global toll of smoking-related diseases, which claim approximately 8 million lives annually.
