The Quezon City government reminded residents that the upcoming New Year’s Eve countdown on December 31 at the Quezon Memorial Circle will be “plastic-free.”
The QC LGU advised residents who will be participating in the event to bring their own tumblers instead of plastic bottles, according to Christian Maño’s report on dzBB on Saturday.
Quezon City’s New Year’s Eve countdown is open to the public and will be streamed on social media. It will feature performances and a fireworks display at midnight.
Those who will attend, however, are reminded to bring umbrellas amid possible rains. They are also advised to carry items inside transparent bags for security purposes. Caps will also be not allowed during the event.
