MANILA, Philippines — It’s “new year, new you,” a box office success and possibly, a new love life that has been awaiting “Hello, Love, Again” star Kathryn Bernardo for 2025.
Just like Kathryn, actors Aga Muhlach and Richard Gomez are now “Superbods” or celebrity endorsers of food label Century Tuna. As Superbods, Aga and Richard are being trained by Century Tuna Superbods 2014 male grand champion and fitness coach Mauro Lumba, credited as the one who helped Kathryn achieve her “revenge body” post-breakup with Daniel Padilla.
At Aga and Richard’s recent launch as endorsers, the stars lauded Lumba for helping them reach their fitness goals.
Mauro was a “very quiet” coach, said Aga.
“Hindi s’ya ‘yung (mayabang) na, ‘You know, you can do this, you can be like this if you work out like this…’ And inspiration din, kasi ‘pag nakita n’yo (abs n’ya), maghubad ka nga ng shirt mo!” Aga challenged Mauro to prove how fit the latter is.
“Alam mo na tama ‘yung tinuturo n’ya, very effective. Why? The following day, when you feel the muscle pain, makikita mo, it’s really effective,” Richard further vouched for Mauro’s credibility as coach.
“He’s very inspiring as a coach. Kasi s’yempre ‘pag nagtuturo sa’yo, ang ganda ng katawan nito ah! Pangit kasi kung ang nagtuturo sa’yo mas malaki pa sa’yo, ‘di ba? But if you have someone like Mauro, (you’d tell yourself,) ‘I’ll get there!’,” Richard claimed.

Lumba, in turn, said it was “very fun” working with Aga and Richard.
“While we were working out, they really gave it their 100%,” he affirmed.
“I really admire someone like them because they’ve achieved so much in their careers, in their life. So to give them a challenge like this is very mental also. They jumped into something they don’t know and just went for it, so I really admire them for that.”
For those whose 2025 New Year’s resolutions include getting more fit, here is the celebrity coach’s advice: “Anyone’s journey is not the same. They have their own challenges, different lives, so I guess, just find a sport that you like for a start. Find something that you love, and from there, you can build your habits, and of course, be always motivated not just for yourself, but also for your family, for your friends, and your loved ones. That’s a big enough motivation.” — Video by Deni Bernardo
