Three buses collided Friday at the southbound lane of the Balintawak Station of the EDSA Bus Carousel, leaving some 50 individuals injured in the mishap, Super Radyo dzBB reported Friday.
According to Allan Gatus’ report on dzBB, personnel from the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) and the Quezon City local government unit responded to the incident.

Most of the wounded passengers were brought to the Quezon City General Hospital.
As of 3 p.m., only one bus had yet to be towed from the southbound lane—the vehicle that supposedly lost its brakes and triggered the collision with the two other buses.
The number of casualties have risen compared to initial reports on the scene.

One report said at least two victims were badly injured, including the driver of the bus which lost its brakes.
