Magnitude 5.1 quake hits Kalamansig, Sultan Kudarat

 

A magnitude 5.1 earthquake jolted Kalamansig, Sultan Kudarat on Monday morning, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS).

Recorded at 8:19 a.m., PHIVOLCS said the earthquake had a depth of focus of 546 kilometers and was tectonic in origin.

Aftershocks are expected after the earthquake, it added.

PHIVOLCS has yet to provide information on the reported intensities due to the earthquake. — Joviland Rita/RSJ, GMA Integrated News
