The search continues for a 10-year-old boy who was swept away by the Daet River in Camarines Norte.
According to a report on Saksi, the boy and his friends were swimming in the river when the water level suddenly rose.
Parts of the province were also experiencing heavy rains due to the shear line.
Meanwhile, the rains triggered floods in the town of Sofronio Espanol in Palawan prompting the evacuation of 95 families.
Rescuers are on standby if more families need to be brought to safey.
PAGASA said parts of Luzon are experiencing above normal amount of rainfall from January 1 up to January 13.
The same is happening in the Visayas, the Sulu archipelago, Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao, parts of Bukidnon and Davao del Norte.—LDF, GMA Integrated News
