CEBU Pacific said Wednesday that it flew over 1 million passengers to and from Clark International Airport last year, up by 36 percent from 2023.

“We are delighted by the strong growth we achieved in 2024, which highlights the growing demand for accessible air travel among our passengers from Central and Northern Luzon,” said Candice Iyog, the budget carrier’s chief marketing and customer experience officer.

“Cebu Pacific remains steadfast in its commitment to offering affordable and convenient flights, ensuring we meet the evolving needs of our customers,” she added.

The airline’s average monthly seat count was said to have grown to 161,000 in December 2024 from 79,000 in January of the same year.

The average number of flights, meanwhile, almost doubled to 872 from 441 during the same period.

Cebu Pacific said the increase in flights and seat count was aligned with its mission to make travel more accessible from the Central and Northern Luzon provinces of Bulacan, Pampanga, Tarlac, Pangasinan, Nueva Ecija, Nueva Vizcaya, Benguet, Isabela and La Union.

The airline currently services 11 domestic and international routes out of Clark Airport.

On Wednesday, Cebu Pacific operator Cebu Air Inc.’s share price rose by 5 centavos to close at P27.70 apiece.
