TELECOMMUNICATIONS company Globe on Wednesday lauded the Philippine National Police Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (PNP-CIDG) after two suspects were arrested for allegedly selling pre-registered SIM cards, which was a violation of the SIM Card Registration Act.
Two Chinese were arrested, and police confiscated 4,000 SIM cards (1,700 Globe and 2,300 TM), allegedly for use in criminal activities that included phishing, romance scams, and mobile phone fraud.
