From the unforgettable scenes of “Secret Garden” and “Goblin” to the poignant moments of “Queen of Tears,” K-drama fans can relive their favorite series through live performances by top Korean artists.
Dubbed “KOSTCON 2025 Live in Manila,” Chen of EXO, Lyn, Kim Bum Soo, K. Will, SoYou, Heize and Lee Mujin will come together to sing the emotionally riveting original soundtracks (OST) from your beloved K-dramas on Aug. 6 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.
Chen performed Everytime with Punch for “Descendants of the Sun,” Kim Bum Soo sang I Miss You for “Stairway to Heaven,” K.Will rendered Beautiful Moment for “The Beauty Inside” and SoYou’s I Miss You for “Goblin.”
Heize is the music maker of Can You See My Heart from “Hotel Del Luna,” Hold Me Back from “Queen of Tears” and Round and Round from “Goblin,” while Lee Mujin is known for his heartfelt track Sweet from “Business Proposal.” Lyn’s My Destiny from “My Love from the Star,” on the other hand, has earned her the Best Original Soundtrack award at the 50th Baeksang Arts Awards.
Local promoter, Random Minds, Inc. president Allan Villegas remarked at a presscon that the “KOSTCON 2025 Live in Manila” is dedicated entirely to Korean OST.
“It brings the emotions of our favorite dramas to the live stage,” he stated and thanked their Korean partners for choosing Manila as one of the stops of the shows. “I’m really excited while doing the pre-prod, seeing the stage and everything.”
Kelebrity Worldwide, Inc. chief executive officer and creator of the concert David Shin added that it’s their very first attempt to introduce “KOSTCON” to the global audience.
“You will see on stage the emotions and storytelling of the K-drama that you enjoy, we’re gonna bring that live on stage. So, for those people who are claiming themselves to be K-drama fans, they should not miss this one because it’s gonna be a fantastic, overwhelming (show) and K-drama emotions will be brought to life on stage.”
He also pointed out that beyond being the background music of K-dramas, the OST is a “powerful tool to deliver the message, emotions and stories” of the shows.
The team’s objective is to make the audience feel like they are watching one whole K-drama live on stage.
“KOSTCON” is the world’s most dramatic concert, described Shin. “Like for example, many of you, guys, here, we haven’t seen any of the characters yet, but some of them are showing the drama when they express their emotions. So, I’m sure we have many drama queens, we have some drama kings here.”
“So, this is something that we wanted — to turn this concert into a drama like as if you’re watching a Korean drama on stage. That’s why we called it the world’s most dramatic concert. That’s the reason behind it,” Shin said.

Shin furthered that they will feature a special segment for each act, conveying the emotions of each song and K-drama scene.
Each of the seven artists will take an act. As Shin elaborated, “The first act is first love. Everyone has experienced first love. So, Lee Mujin will start the concert with the concept of first love.
“And then, I have a question, ‘Does the first love always work?’ No. So, this is the heartbreak (act) and it’s gonna be taken by Heize. I don’t wanna give too many spoilers, but that’s how the whole story goes. So, for each act, we have this specific theme that each artist will deliver the message and the storytelling of this concert.”
“We actually managed to clear the rights for the famous drama footage. So, it will be juxtaposed in between the scenes to elevate their emotions. Like I said, it’s going to be the drama that you love and perform live on stage.”
“KOSTCON” will be a fusion of the classic hits and the recent ones, continued Shin. “From ‘Tastefully Yours’ to ‘Secret Garden’ (OST). We have a very good balance (setlist) to make every generation happy. So, bring your moms and aunties,” Shin teased.
The participating artists will also include some of their tracks that were not part of the OST. “I can’t tell which one yet, but the songs will be released very soon so that everyone can sing along together,” said Shin, adding that they will be giving ticket discounts to those groups of friends and families who will attend the event.
Aside from Manila, the “KOSTCON 2025 Live in Manila” will be heading to Jakarta on Aug. 2, Dubai on Sept. 5, Bangkok on Sept.13 and Penang on Oct. 25.
High Five Entertainment chairman Tommy Pereira articulated that they included Manila as one of the stops because of the Filipinos ardent devotion for K-drama.
“We are very much aware of the affection many Filipinos have for Korean dramas and we also know that Korean dramas have had a large following in this country for a long, long time,” he observed.
“And because of that, we thought that Manila would be a good place to host the first of the shows of this kind and this is also an opportunity for us to bring together all the singers of these Korean dramas in one setting. So, we thought Manila would be a good venue for this show. And that’s why we choose the Philippines.”
