MANILA, Philippines — British Scotch whisky icon Jura, which forms part of Emperador’s single malt portfolio through subsidiary Whyte & Mackay, has landed a spot on The Grocer Magazine’s Britain’s Biggest Alcohol Brands 2025 list, fortifying its status as the United Kingdom’s leading single malt brand.
Jura is the only single malt whisky brand to earn a spot on the prestigious list.
Emperador said that the recognition comes at a challenging time for the Scotch whisky category, which has been grappling with shifting consumer preferences, escalating taxes and international tariffs.
The company said that these factors have dampened growth for even the most established players.
“Jura’s ascent not only defies industry headwinds, but reaffirms its dominance in a rapidly evolving market,” Emperador said.
According to Emperador, Jura’s strategic pivot toward a smokier, sweeter core range has proven transformative, successfully aligning with the evolving tastes of a younger and more adventurous consumer segment.
The company said that the bold repositioning, which introduced a flavor profile widely recognized as fruity, balanced and delicious, has enabled the brand to weather challenging market conditions while also significantly expanding its reach.
