When Ensorcell Beauty Clinic opened its doors at the new Greenhills Mall in February this year, owner and microblading beauty expert Chris Andrea Pino made it clear she wasn’t just building another skin clinic. She was creating a safe, supportive space where beauty is approached with equal measures of science, care and community.

Over the weekend, The T-Zone visited Ensorcell again to see how the clinic has grown, and more importantly, to learn about its newest offering — SkinPen microneedling, a treatment famously favored by Victoria Beckham herself.

SkinPen is the first US FDA-cleared microneedling device and a minimally invasive treatment that creates microchannels in the skin to stimulate fibroblasts — as shown in this before-and-after photo.

Now, Chris is the first to say they aren’t the first in the country to offer microneedling.

“But we are the first, based on what I know, to include a free lymphatic facial massage as part of the procedure,” she pointed out. “Our motto here is it’s not just about how you look, but also how you feel.”

At the clinic, the SkinPen microneedling — a treatment famously favored by Victoria Beckham herself — is slowed down on purpose, paired with a careful cleansing routine and a lymphatic massage.

In most clinics, the treatment begins immediately with anesthesia and microneedling. At Ensorcell, though, the process is slowed down on purpose. It begins with a careful cleansing routine and a lymphatic massage that relaxes the body and prepares the skin for the session.

“It helps with better absorption of the serums and promotes better collagen production,” Chris explained. “And it’s also a way for our clients to feel truly cared for, not rushed.”

For those unfamiliar, SkinPen microneedling is a minimally invasive treatment that creates microchannels in the skin to stimulate fibroblasts — the skin’s collagen factories. This leads to skin that not only glows but becomes more resilient over time.

According to Chris, SkinPen is the first US FDA-cleared microneedling device to arrive in the Philippines, with strict standards covering the device, its stainless steel Japanese needles, and the aftercare serums provided.

Chris was also quick to emphasize that this isn’t a procedure to be done at home with over-the-counter dermapens. “You see these microneedling devices being sold online, but that’s dangerous,” she warned. “Without clinical training, people can go too deep, or overwork an area, leading to more harm than good. There’s also the risk of infection because home environments are not sterile.”

The SkinPen device at Ensorcell has adjustable, precision-controlled depths, an added layer of safety that makes a world of difference. “That’s why it’s called SkinPen Precision,” she smiled. “It’s so fast and precise, you won’t even notice you’ve had hundreds of microchannels made on your skin.”

The treatment is open to anyone aged 18 and above — those who want to rejuvenate their skin, address concerns like acne, scarring, hyperpigmentation, or even just to maintain their skin’s health. Chris typically recommends a bundle of three sessions, spaced four weeks apart, for best results.

“Some people think they need to do this every week because that’s what they see online, but it’s really not safe to go that frequently,” she added.

What makes the Ensorcell approach even more thoughtful is the complimentary LED light therapy that comes with every microneedling session. It’s a simple but effective step that speeds up healing and calms the skin post-treatment.

Chris has always been an avid learner, traveling to discover the best treatments around the world. She was drawn to SkinPen after seeing Victoria Beckham rave about it as a safe, injection-free way to keep her skin youthful. “I’ve always wanted to bring the best treatments here, and I’m so happy we now have SkinPen.”

Since Ensorcell’s opening, Chris has focused on building not just a clinic but a loyal community. “It’s easy to promote on social media, but what really matters is when your clients keep coming back because they trust you,” she said. “When they see the results and feel cared for, that’s when you know you’re doing something right.”

And looking at her glowing skin during our chat — fresh from another SkinPen session — it’s hard to argue with that.
