(A heartfelt congratulations to my sibling, BB Gandanghari, who graduated Summa Cum Laude in Filmmaking. I’m extremely proud and in awe of your hard work and determination in reaching your dream. I salute you! Mabuhay!)
Gandanghari completed her bachelor’s degree in Entertainment Business on July 11. She shared the milestone with followers on Instagram, posting a video of herself unwrapping her graduation toga.
“Life is about second chances. It’s about new opportunities for growth, forgiveness and new beginnings …. so help me God,” she captioned the clip.
She followed up with another post from the graduation venue.
“I am a proud wearer of my Summa Cum Laude cord. This is my medal. Thank you so much to everyone who’s been congratulating me. And, actually, I hope this will also serve as an inspiration to all,” she said.
On Sunday, Gandanghari further reflected on her academic achievement in a separate post saying, “#EyeOnThePrize – Being Summa Cum Laude is not without hardwork, discipline, perseverance ad determination. As much as I am proud of this achievement, I am also proud as a working student of having a perfect attendance and never late in my classes during the entire course,” she said.
“I am also awarded as Student of the Month and a member of the Honor Society of Los Angeles,” she added.
Before her film school education, Gandanghari earned a degree in Economics from Saint Louis University in Baguio City.
The siblings made headlines in December 2022 after publicly reconciling. Their falling out was rooted in a series of critical remarks Gandanghari made about Padilla and other relatives in a vlog she posted in 2020.
Gandanghari came out as a transgender woman in 2009. She is now based in the United States and became a US citizen in 2022.
