THE Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) has re-elected Jose Pardo as chairman and Ramon Monzon as president and CEO and also reappointed its 15-member board during its annual stockholders’ meeting on Saturday.

The PSE board is composed of one president-director, no more than five broker-directors, at least five independent directors, and at least four sectoral directors representing issuers, investors and other market participants.

“The fresh mandate given to the PSE Board will ensure continuity in the reforms and initiatives we have started pursuing to attract more listings and introduce new products and services that will enhance liquidity in the capital market,” Pardo said.

Independent directors re-elected alongside Pardo include former chief justice Teresita Leonardo-De Castro, Peter Favila, Andrew Jerome Gan and Vicente Panlilio.

Reinstated were broker-directors Diosdado Arroyo, Eddie Gobing, Anthony Te, Wilson Sy and Ma. Vivian Yuchengco, while the reappointed sectoral representatives were Marilyn Victorio-Aquino, representing issuers; Ferdinand Constantino and Jose Arnulfo Veloso, representing investors; and Edgardo Lacson, representing other market participants.
