SAN JUAN, La Union – Award-winning actress Dolly de Leon is adding yet another international project to her resume after being tapped for upcoming AppleTV+ show “Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed.”
She joins previously announced cast members Tatiana Maslany and Jake Johnson on the comedy-thriller created by David J. Rosen as a series regular.
Maslany will play Paula, a newly divorced mother who becomes involved in blackmail, murder, and youth soccer.
Johnson will play Paula’s ex-husband Karl while de Leon takes on the role of Detective Sofia Gonzalez.
Other creatives on the series are comedy and horror director David Gordon Green at the helm, joined by fellow executive producers Simon Kinberg of Fox’s “X-Men” films fame, Audrey Chon and Bard Dorros.
De Leon is a staple of Philippine entertainment but achieved international fame for her scene-stealing performance in Palme d’Or winner “Triangle of Sadness,” which led to historic Golden Globe and BAFTA nominations.
Since then de Leon has appeared in the second season of “Nine Perfect Strangers” with Nicole Kidman and in 2024 starred in four films – “Salome,” “Between the Temples,” “Jackpot!,” and “Ghostlight” – the latter which she also executive produced.
She will next be seen in the last two seasons of Netflix’s “Avatar: The Last Airbender” and Prime Video’s “Severino: The First Serial Killer” with Dennis Trillo.
