IT might take a blue economy to launch, develop and sustain green initiatives — and perhaps vice versa. This was the highlight in the recent forum held by the La Union-based Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University (DMMMSU) in observance of the Month of the Ocean in 2024. Its partners and fellow stakeholders from the government, the academe and the private sector discussed their programs and future plans that can help the province strengthen sustainability.
DMMMSU’s Strategic Communications Director Maricon Viduya laid the groundwork by saying that it has always been their goal “to become a sustainable school through the implementation of various green initiatives.”
