THE Quezon City government said on Saturday that it has impounded 101 tricycles in compliance with the “no plate, no travel” policy of the Land Transportation Office (LTO).
It added that 123 tricycle drivers were issued traffic violation tickets.
LTO chief Vigor Mendoza II commended the leaders and members of tricycle operators and drivers associations (TODA) in the city for their full cooperation in the implementation of the policy.
“I thank the leaders and members of the TODA for their trust and support of the LTO. We are not trying to pressure anyone here. We are just trying to set things right because we feel sorry for the tricycle operators and drivers who were compliant with the rules and regulations,” Mendoza said.
