Abalos bares P10M bounty for Quiboloy’s arrest

MANILA, Philippines — Local Government Secretary Benhur Abalos on Monday announced a P10 million bounty for the arrest of Pastor Apollo Quiboloy who is facing a string of criminal cases in Davao City and Pasig City.

Abalos said the money was raised by private individuals who wanted to help authorities capture Quiboloy.

A reward of P1 million was also offered for the arrest of each of Quiboloy’s five accomplices — Jackielyn Roy, Cresente Canada, Paulene Canada, Ingrid Canada and Sylvia Cemañes.

“We have friends who wanted to help and offered a reward of P10 million for any information leading to the arrest of Pastor Apollo Quiboloy and P1 million each for Cresente Canada, Paulene Canada, Ingrid Canada, Jackielyn Roy at Sylvia Cemanes,” Abalos said during a press conference in Camp Crame on Monday.

Abalos refused to disclose the identities of those who raised the money.

He urged Quiboloy, who is facing child sexual abuse and human trafficking charges, to surrender and prove his innocence before the courts.
