THE Dowinn Group, a Philippine casino company, clarified that the allegations of bankruptcy and the purchase of Korean slot machines were false, sensationalized and ill-contrived to cause controversy.
Ignacio Manapil, a lawyer who was representing the Dowinn Group in the soon-to-be-filed case against the Korean media outlet that published the false articles, said during a phone interview with The Manila Times that the action was a “planned move to destroy the reputation” of the company.
