TARLAC CITY, Philippines — Up to 100 beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) in Camiling, Tarlac have completed the entrepreneurship mindsetting seminar offered by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).
The seminar was organized by the local government’s Negosyo Center in partnership with the local social welfare and development office.
The program intends to unlock the potential of participants in starting, developing and growing their businesses, according to Florencia Balilo, officer-in-charge of the DTI office in Tarlac.
“The seminar will not only harness them in starting a business, but motivate them to become economically empowered,” Balilo said.
Negosyo Center business counselor Angelie Mikka Aquino discussed the rewards and risks of entrepreneurship as well as business opportunities to choose from.
Aquino taught the beneficiaries how to process and register a business.
Jessa Domingo said the seminar was beneficial as it broadened their knowledge in doing business.
The DTI, through its Negosyo Centers, partners with local government units in training people who have the potential of starting a business.
