MANILA, Philippines — Cloud formations over Visayas and Southern Luzon are forecast to bring rain while most parts of the archipelago will be fair, the state weather bureau said on Tuesday.
Weather specialist Rhea Torres of the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said the country would remain storm-free as no tropical cyclone has been monitored entering the Philippine Area of Responsibility in the next few days.
The easterly winds, she said, were particularly affecting Visayas and Palawan where overcast skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms could be experienced within 24 hours.
The same weather system is also affecting Bicol Region, Quezon, Aurora, Isabela and Cagayan where isolated downpours and thunderstorms would be likely, the state-run weather agency said.
Meanwhile, partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms may prevail over Metro Manila and the rest of the country due to the localized thunderstorms, Pagasa said in its 5 a.m. bulletin.
