MANILA, Philippines — Operatives of the Philippine National Police Drug Enforcement Group (PDEG) yesterday seized methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu valued at P10.2 million in Quiapo, Manila.
PDEG director Brig. Gen. Eleazar Matta said the illegal drugs weighing 1.5 kilos were recovered during an anti-narcotics operation along Arlegui street in Barangay 387 at around 3:15 p.m.
The suspects were identified as Lope Hernandez and Nacer Gunda.
Police said the suspects also yielded a 9mm handgun and a .45-caliber pistol.
Charges of drug trafficking and illegal possession of firearms are being readied against the suspects.
