The Green Party of England and Wales said allowing tenants to force landlords to insulate their homes would boost the value of landlords’ properties.
Green co-leader Adrian Ramsay said it would also result in warmer homes and cheaper energy bills.
He told the BBC’s Helen Catt it was a “visionary policy” that would tackle both the cost-of-living crisis and the “climate emergency”.
