Who’s Klang’s favorite child?
“Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition” housemate Klarisse “Klang” de Guzman, who earned the moniker “Nation’s Mowm” while inside the iconic yellow house, replied that while she loves all her “children,” she became really close with Esnyr and Will Ashley.
“I love them all,” began the singer-songwriter during the Star Magic Spotlight presscon. “I actually got surprised na andami ko ng anak ngayon. I treat them all as my ‘children.’
“It’s just that meron din talagang hindi maiwasan na may nagiging group ka. So, sa mga naging ‘anak’ ko, I always say this that it’s Esnyr and Will (as favorites). Yung mga matutulis yung Adam’s apple. Haha! Especially Esnyr. Yung mga close ko talaga. But I super love them all.”
During her “PBB” stint, Klang came out as bisexual, having a four-year relationship with another woman, Trina.
“I was just waiting for the right timing, but I was ready (to come out),” she recalled. “And I felt that it was the right moment to say it. And by that time, I didn’t think of what other people would say outside the house.”

“What’s important for me was the ‘present’ moment namin dun,” she continued. “That time, I was overwhelmed with happiness and excitement. I said, ‘Bahala na if the people outside would accept me.’ That’s what I prayed for. I hoped they would still love me and hindi magbago ang tingin sa akin ng mga sumusuporta sa labas. And it happened.”
All she wanted was to be true to herself and the people around her. “I just wanted to tell yung matagal ko ng tinatago. And I was very happy and I didn’t regret it.”
Following her “PBB” journey, Klang said she gained more self-confidence because of the love that her supporters have shown her. As she elaborated, “I’ve got more self-confidence. I’m no longer afraid because I’m free. I have nothing to hide anymore. That’s what I feel now as compared to before na feeling ko parang may naka-angkla as if there’s (something) holding me back.”
“Now, I’m really open to everything. There’s more self-confidence and sana mas madagdagan pa. Kunti pa,” she laughingly said. “(Of course), with the help of people who love me when I came out. I didn’t expect that they would embrace me like that.”
“I thought paglabas ko puro bashers, baka maraming ayaw sa akin. But there are a lot of people na kahit papano nagmamahal. It really helped boost my confidence.”

She was, likewise, elated that her supporters got to see her other side.
“That side of me na hindi ko talaga napapakita before. Because when I sing, I’m just quiet, because I’m nervous. Every time I perform, I always get nervous. And now, I’m so happy that they see my ‘Klang’ side.”
The former “The Voice of the Philippines” Season 1 first runner-up and winner of “Your Face Sounds Familiar” Season 3 is currently working on an album under Star Music. She will also hold her first solo concert on Sept. 26 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
The “Big PBB Collab Concert: PBB Collove” will also be mounted on Aug. 10 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum where Kapamilya and Kapuso housemates will share the big stage.
Meanwhile, during the press event at the “PBB” house, Klang was joined by Kapamilya “PBB” Big 4 Brent Manalo, Ralph de Leon, Esnyr Ranollo, River Joseph and ex-housemates Kira Balinger, Xyriel Manabat and Bianca de Vera.
The head of ABS-CBN production and Star Magic, direk Laurenti Dyogi shared his words to the Kapamilya housemates, saying, “I hope you all remain humble. Minahal kayo ng tao and I hope yung pagmamahal na ‘yun, you keep that core memory… The people will never forget you dahil sa pinakita niyong samahan at pagmamahal sa isa’t isa.”
