Cameron Mackintosh, in partnership with Nick Grace Management and GMG Productions, announced Monday that the “Les Misérables World Tour Spectacular” will open in January 2026 at The Theatre at Solaire.
The Manila stop is part of the show’s global tour marking the lead-up to its 40th anniversary. With over 130 million viewers in 53 countries and 22 languages since its 1985 premiere, Les Misérables stands as one of the most enduring titles in musical theatre.
Described as a “breathtaking reimagining,” the World Tour Spectacular features new design and staging, brought to life by an international all-star cast and a full live orchestra. More than 110 performers and crew members will deliver this expanded version, which producers are calling the most ambitious staging of Les Misérables to date in the Philippines.

First staged in London’s West End nearly four decades ago, the musical — based on Victor Hugo’s 1862 novel — follows the journey of Jean Valjean, a former prisoner seeking redemption against the backdrop of revolutionary France. The original score by Claude-Michel Schönberg and lyrics by Alain Boublil and Herbert Kretzmer include iconic numbers such as “I Dreamed a Dream,” “On My Own,” and “Do You Hear the People Sing?”
