My lifestyle wellness hacks | The Manila Times

I show You how To Make Huge Profits In A Short Time With Cryptos!

Finally, I will address the most frequently-asked question: “How to be you?”

I must be doing something right when a 20 year-old tells me, “When I grow up, I would like to look like you.”

My most sincere reply is, “Then you had better start now.” Inevitably, this leads to my impromptu wellness talk wherever I am — whether this be at a mall or grocery. Yes, I am always happy to oblige.

My regimen may not suit everyone’s lifestyle. The importance of starting now is pivotal to the changes you wish to see in the near future. My philosophy has always been to go for the natural approaches.

Upon waking up in the morning and just before I open my eyes, I silently pray “Thank you, Lord, for another day of my happy and fulfilled life.”

I do my morning stretches in bed. These are simple spine stretches, spinal twists, glute bridges, modified cobra poses.

Then, the morning bathroom rituals which begins with oil-pulling, an ancient Ayurvedic practise to swish virgin coconut oil in your mouth in order to remove the overnight bacteria. build -up. After spitting it out, I brush my teeth.

This is followed by drinking one glass of warm lemon water.

To kick start my day, I drink a jigger-sized serving of Organique acai berry with one teaspoon of MCT (Laurin -Medium Chain Triglyceride) to energize me instantly.

My breakfast is usually a combination of fresh fruits like papaya, banana, coconut meat and a glass of fresh buko (coconut) juice. If I am feeling especially hungry, I serve myself a slice of sourdough bread with mashed avocados and raw honey from Bohol, like Amamio.

The rest of the day, I drink about 10 glasses of water without fail, spacing them every hour.

Meals during the day are made up of a huge serving of vegetables/salad, a palm size of protein like fish or chicken and 1/2 cup of rice or pasta. As a choice, I have not eaten beef or pork for 35 years.

Snacks are usually boiled sweet potatoes, a vegetarian or chicken sandwich.

I limit dairy intake and opt for vegan cheese/mayonnaise etc.

Preferring multi-grain bread to white bread, coconut sugar to white, I find that this is kinder to my stomach. I have never had digestive issues.

If I were to sum up my food intake, it is high fiber, low animal fat, moderate vegetable fat, moderate protein, moderate carbohydrate.

The one rule I should emphasize is this: Eat your vegetables.

After meals, I find it soothing to take a cup of hot turmeric-ginger-black pepper-moringa tea like the home-grown Kingsley brand. Peppermint tea is good as well as freshly-made ginger/salabat.

Finally, bear in mind that moderation is not just a word. It is a valuable, life-saving prescription for good health. Eat and drink everything in moderation.

Next week, more from my personal journal of wellness. Until then, be happy and healthy.

Affirmation: “I embrace change with an open heart.”

Love and light.
