RIZAL Commercial Banking Corp. (RCBC) on Thursday listed Series F Asean Sustainability Bonds due 2028 on the Philippine Dealing and Exchange Corp. following an oversubscribed offering that raised P12.21 billion in fresh capital.
In a disclosure, RCBC said strong demand resulted in an order book more than four times the announced minimum issue size of P3 billion.
The fixed rate peso-denominated Series F Asean bonds carry a coupon of 6.00 percent per annum and form part a P200-billion bond and commercial paper program.
Proceeds will be used to finance or refinance, in whole or in part, eligible green and social categories as described in the bank’s sustainable finance framework.
The offering marked the eighth time that the bank has tapped the peso bond market, bringing the total amount raised by RCBC from all bond issuances since 2019 to P99.01 billion, said to be “a record amount demonstrating investors’ confidence in the various initiatives RCBC has taken to fuel the bank’s growth.”
RCBC said it was also “proud to be the only Philippine bank to have issued back-to-back sustainability bond issuances in dollar and peso totaling to an equivalent of nearly P32 billion in 2025, reinforcing its commitment to supporting its clients’ sustainable endeavors and advancing the Philippines’ sustainability goals.”
Standard Chartered Bank and RCBC Capital Corp. acted as joint lead arrangers and bookrunners while RCBC and SCB were the selling agents.
Shares of RCBC on Thursday were unchanged at P25 apiece.
