Lighting industry leader Signify spotlighted its latest sustainable and connected technologies at the “Light & Beyond” event, bringing together top architects, designers, and industry professionals to discuss the future of lighting and its role in shaping smarter, healthier environments.
Formerly Philips Lighting, Signify showcased five transformative lighting solutions that blend energy efficiency, digital intelligence, and human-centric design. These included the Philips UltraEfficient LED, the Interact Connected Lighting System, 3D-printed circular luminaires, NatureConnect circadian lighting, and solar-powered off-grid solutions.
“At the heart of everything we do is a deep commitment to sustainable innovation. We design solutions that not only light spaces beautifully but also respect our planet. And when we talk about the future, there’s no ignoring the power of connected lighting and ultra-efficiency, transforming how we manage energy, environments, and experiences. This is a journey we take together with our specifiers. They are not just partners; they are co-creators of the future,” said Raghuraman Chandrasekhar, Country Leader for Professional Business at Signify Philippines.
The five key innovations aim to redefine the function of lighting in homes, offices, and outdoor spaces by maximizing energy savings, reducing waste, and enhancing human well-being.
The Interact System, for example, enables data-driven energy management and real-time lighting control across both office and outdoor environments. Meanwhile, Signify’s 3D-printed luminaires, made from bio-circular materials, demonstrate the company’s push for circularity and reduced environmental impact.

Recognizing that people spend up to 90 percent of their time indoors, NatureConnect is a revolutionary solution inspired by nature.
Chandrasekhar emphasized the impact of lighting on occupant health and comfort, calling well-being “a very hot topic right now.”
“We’re focused on zero energy like solar and well-being. We believe our lighting solutions can make a dent on well-being of occupants inside the building itself. These solutions are not lab experiments, these solutions have been tested, we have strong project references not just in Europe and America, but also in Southeast Asia, from our customers in Singapore, we have strong voice of customers which have implemented not in one site, but in multiple sites,” Chandrasekhar further said in his speech.
Human-centric lighting took center stage with the introduction of NatureConnect, a lighting system that mimics natural daylight rhythms to boost mood, productivity, and sleep quality. Another highlight was Signify’s solar lighting solutions, designed to bring sustainable, off-grid light to underserved areas.
The event also underscored the pivotal role of architects and designers — specifiers, in industry parlance — in turning innovation into meaningful application.
“Everything we achieve, every solution, every milestone, is the result of close collaboration with specifiers. Their insight drives us to innovate better, design smarter, and push the boundaries of what lighting can do,” Chandrasekhar said.
He ended, “This entire success is not just down to Signify, we believe specifiers, architects, designers act as a valuable catalyst in bringing that strong trusted voice to the end-users on why they should embark upon not just our energy efficiency, but also these solutions and create an entire chain momentum to our facilities in the country.”
