July 20, 2024 — this calendar date will eternally be etched in the innocent mind of Sandro Muhlach.
Looking back, the Sparkle artist wishes he hadn’t showed up at the Marriott Hotel in Pasay City to attend the annual GMA Gala.

Sans any intention of rubbing it in, it was when and where Sandro’s life had taken a drastic change — as he lodged a case of sexual assault against then-GMA independent contractors Jojo Nones and Dode Cruz.
At present, the case is still ongoing while awaiting decision with bated breath.
In an exclusive interview by PEP, Sandro would not give updates on the case due to the gag order on him as well as the respondents.
One thing’s for certain though, GMA has already released a teaser announcing the yearly glitzy event to take place at a five-star hotel on August 2.
The upcoming GMA Gala is expected to be even bigger and more spectacular as it coincides with the network’s 75th anniversary.
To begin with, was Sandro sent an invite to the affair? “Yes po, I was,” was his curt reply.
Unlike the rest of his fellow Sparkle artists, however, Sandro — at the time of the interview — was still on the fence, so to speak.
He simply couldn’t give an affirmative answer with regard to his attendance. But already having moved on from his traumatic experience, his cool demeanor coupled with his calm disposition might sure help him completely obliterate how nightmarish things last year had all been.
Indications positively point to how Sandro has succeeded in turning things around.
Career-wise, the Sparkle artist never misses getting invited to grace motorcades and town fiestas. Mind you, this is one lucrative side hustle of any celebrity!
Sandro is able to squeeze his studies in his schedule. Enrolled at the Meridian International Business, Arts and Technology College in Taguig City, he’s dead set on finishing his course in Film: “I hope to be able to direct movies abroad.”
Not only does he earn his keep from his showbiz commitments, Sandro works as a proud employee of his family-owned Muhlach Ensaymada (the famous bakery business which is a precursor to Supermelt in 1993 and later Quickmelt in 1997 that his Lolo Alex, father of his dad and former child wonder Niño, had built): “I manage the business and take charge of its contents.”
With so much on his plate, who would have thought that such a fragile, admittedly powerless Sandro, wouldn’t be able to bounce back?

ALJUR Abrenica’s past and present women in his life — Kylie Padilla and AJ Raval, respectively — appear to have slightly kissed and made up.
In a recent chat with a reporter, Kylie intimated that she and AJ were supposed to sit down to thresh things out — at least to finally put a stop to their widely perceived differences toward each other.
For some reason though, the woman-to-woman talk fizzled out. “I realized that we shouldn’t push it if it wasn’t the right time,” Kylie calmly stated.
Even then, she thankfully acknowledges how AJ treats her kids Alas and Axl nicely every time she’s with them on outings.
So, won’t Kylie be surprised to find out if AJ treats her child by Aljur the same way, if not expectedly much more?
Kylie suddenly gave the reporter a quizzical look, then laughingly said: “You’re putting me on the spot, aren’t you?”
