THERE can also be a tipping point to a mother’s patience particularly in the case of Candy Pangilinan.
A single yet career-driven parent, raising her son Quentin — diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) — is no laughing matter.
Bringing up her now teenage son may need Candy to gobble up a book on Quentin’s special case that will help her deal with his tantrums and temperaments, oftentimes mercurial.
At best, the comedienne is expected to be Supermom who cannot afford to get riled up by her son’s behavior, no matter unpleasant and nerve-wracking.

In a short video, Candy briefly touches on the myths surrounding parents like her with kids like Quentin.
“What people always say is that we tend to spoil them if we let them just do what they wanna do. Those people simply don’t know that in case our kids bang their heads on the walls, we’re ready with a lot of pillows to protect their heads…I myself am not a spoiler. If some people only knew (sigh),” Candy addresses the netizens.
Months ago, what the public thought was an intense scene plucked from a recent Viva family drama film was actually true-to-life.
The scene showed a crying, whining mom (Candy) behind the wheel with her son (Quentin) seated at the back of the van.
Candy kept ranting at the intransigent Quentin who’d turn a deaf ear to her pleas. “Enough…enough! Why wouldn’t you listen to me? I’m doing everything I can yet you keep doing things over and over?” Candy told her son repeatedly in tears.
She only calmed down when Quentin kept saying, “’Ma, I’m sorry. I love you,” which all the more caused her to well up.
Netizens most especially those who can relate to the video only have words of admiration for Candy as much as they believe Quentin to be lucky and blessed to have a mom like her.
The succeeding weeks shifted to happier moments, this time validating Candy’s share of maternal joy. This was upon her surprise visit to Quentin’s workplace — at an Italian restaurant where he takes orders from customers, delivers them himself, fixes beverages, does kitchen chores and even accompanies the supervisor doing marketing errands.
Candy’s source of profuse elation comes from the boss’ performance rating of Quentin’s month-long stint — way above her expectation.
You bet, Candy’s mom duties despite the struggles have never been this sweeter!

IN no time is Max Collins expected to formally introduce her reported newfound love — a Spanish businessman seemingly older than her.
Both clad in white tops, a recent video showed Max and the anonymous guy at a resort in Loboc, Bohol.
It was the video uploader who confirmed their ongoing romance.
Her friends and fans alike are rest assured this poses no problem with former husband Pancho Magno.
Just a bit of history, it was in 2017 when they got married. Their marital kinks unexplained — if not unknown to the public — the couple drifted apart four years later.
They have an only child named Skye who Max says quite understands his parents’ current setup.
Max and Pancho were officially divorced in 2024. Despite their failed marriage, here’s one erstwhile celebrity couple that not even once have badmouthed each other on social media.
In her guesting on “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” months ago, Max was candid enough to admit she prefers relationships with non-showbiz partners this time: “They’re far less problematic!”
