We had the honor of attending the Thanksgiving Mass and celebration dinner for Rotary International District 3830’s newly elected District Governor Nominee Designate (DGND), Mache Torres — a heartfelt occasion recognizing her resounding victory.

The event gathered members of her home club, the Rotary Club of Makati Business District — which she founded as Charter President — along with Rotarians from across District 3830. The evening was a spirited show of camaraderie, all in celebration of Mache’s landslide win — an affirmation of her leadership, dedication, and the trust she has earned within the Rotary community.
Held at Alba Restaurante Español in Greenhills, the celebration was joyful and vibrant. Guests enjoyed generous servings of Spanish fare, accompanied by free-flowing juices, wine and spirits. The atmosphere was warm and festive, filled with heartfelt energy and fellowship.
Adding to the celebratory mood was a lively performance by the Marcy David Sr. Band, whose music kept the energy high and the party in full swing. Guests took turns serenading Mache with heartfelt songs, and in one touching moment, her own club surprised her with an impromptu musical number — one she gleefully joined, singing along with infectious joy.
Mache embodies resilience, inspiring those around her with unwavering passion for service, boundless optimism and steadfast inner strength. Her presence is a beacon of hope and motivation, encouraging a spirit of dedication, enthusiasm and collective growth. With every challenge, her resolve remains strong, reminding others that true strength is not defined by the absence of adversity, but by the courage to overcome it.
